Welcome to the home of The Bushcraft Magazine
We at the Bushcraft Magazine make a point of showcasing the wild foods you can hunt or forage, the woods which are best for different purposes and how you can use what is around you. It is certainly not our intention to exploit our environment, rather, we are about changing our relationship with it and introducing a different and sustainable level of interaction and appreciation. This website is here to help you in many ways, from news stories to weather forecasts. Please use this site as your gateway to
"reconnecting to the landscape".
Winter 2011
The Winter issue should be dropping through our subscribers letter boxes as I write this and it's another good one. But then I would think so wouldn't I? Why not subscribe if you havn't already and see if you agree with me?
You can tell us what you think on facebook (thebushcraftmagazine), twitter (@bushcraftmag) or the various forums where the team hang out. We have made the difficult descision to remove our forum for the time being. You can still find us hanging out in our own little corner of the UK's premier forum Bushcraft UK were we will be happy to answer any question.
The weather down here in the south still hasn't made up its mind on whether it wants to be winter or not. This is producing some strange effects, like flowers in bloom too early and confused birds already singing their spring songs. If we do finally get a proper winter down here it could be nasty. Whats it like in your area?
We are gearing up for our fourth annual May day meet. Keep an eye on the webpage for further details.
Details of the new spring courses will be going up on the website over the next few days, with our usual offerings plus a few more advanced courses. Full details can also be found in the Winter Issue.

And of course we still have the preview of the Autumn 2011 Issue to look at.
