Subscribers- £35 PER PERSON OR £70 FOR A FAMILY OF UP TO FIVE! (Two adults and three children) (Refund of the difference will be issued)

Please note that space is limited on some of our taster courses and it is advisable to book early to avoid disappointment. To book a place, please contact us with your name, the course title and the number of places you’d like to book.

We charge an administration fee if you cancel. This will be deducted from your refund. The fee increases the later the cancellation. There is no refund from three days before the course date as we will already have made full preparations.

We reserve the right to re-schedule or cancel courses if they receive insufficient interest for them to viably run. Courses will run even in unfavourable weather conditions unless, as in a seashore forage, for example, health and safety becomes an issue. We will take a view on the basis of the weather forecast. If a seashore forage is adversely affected on the day then the way forward will be subject to discussion among the parties involved.

Book Woodland Fungus Foray – Sunday 15th October 2017

The Fungi Foray will take place in mixed woodlands where we can explore how different fungi grow in different environments and with different species of trees.  Dependant upon what we find we will delve into the edibility, medicinal and historical uses of fungi.  We will also learn some folklore and debunk myths around these mystical fruit bodies.

If the fungi allow we will have a cook up of our finds, and give you ideas for how to prepare your foraged goodies to take advantage of their flavours.

Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.  In some years we have had to walk less then a couple of hundred yards before finding enough species to fill our baskets, other years we have covered a few miles.

Joining instructions will be sent out about a week before the event.  This is so that we can take you to where the fungi are best fruiting.  There is no point booking a location in advance to turn up and find that there is very little on the ground.

Any questions, head over to the contact us section of the web page.

They are the same price as our day courses, naturally.

We also offer bespoke courses on a variety of subjects, but especially foraging. Gather together a group of people of 6 or more and we will give you a discount on the individual rates. The course will then take place at a mutually agreed date. Contact us for enquiries.
